Dalton Cole is a fine art photographer and creator of Earthbound, a body of work rooted in the quiet power and emotional depth of the natural world. His imagery explores the tension between stillness and intensity—capturing fleeting moments where light, texture, and form align into something both precise and atmospheric.

Working across landscapes, abstraction, and elemental subjects, Cole’s work is defined by contrast: darkness against illumination, chaos within calm, and human presence within vast environments. Each photograph is approached not as a passive capture, but as a constructed experience—designed to evoke reflection, curiosity, and emotional resonance.

Based in Wichita, Kansas, Cole continues to evolve his practice through experimentation with light, color, and abstraction, creating work that exists at the intersection of photography and fine art.

My Work

My work is not about capturing what is seen, but revealing what exists beneath it. I’m drawn to moments where tension lives quietly—where light cuts through darkness, where stillness carries weight, and where the familiar begins to feel uncertain.

There is a balance I aim to create in every piece: something grounded, yet slightly removed from reality. Whether through isolation, contrast, or abstraction, each image is shaped to hold attention—not just visually, but emotionally. I want the viewer to stay with it, to question it, and to feel something that isn’t immediately defined.
